Japa Hot Yoga
Absolutely. Our studio welcomes everyone, and our teachers will help you feel comfortable, safe, and confident from day one. We recommend starting with flow foundations and hot 26 classses before taking strong flow.
Yes. You can modify for injuries or physical concerns. Our teachers offer modifcations in class but if you have a specific concern we encourage you to speak with your teacher before class so we can help you modify poses and keep you safe. You should also consult with your healthcare professional.
Definitely! Flexibility is not a requirement! Improved mobility can be a powerful result of practice so if you’re not flexible, all the more reason to join us on the mat. Yoga will help you build flexibility over time, along with strength, balance, peace and mental clarity.
No. Yoga is a science and philosophy of movement, breath, and awareness. It can support your personal growth and well-being no matter what your beliefs may be.
Hydrate well, avoid heavy meals for at least 2 hours before class, and wear comfortable clothes you can move and sweat in. Bring a mat, towel, and water. We have water for sale and mats you can borrow if you are new and towels for purchase. Come with an open mind and we’re confident you will fall in love with the practice!
Expect to sweat! The heated environment helps deepen flexibility and detoxify the body. We recommend pacing yourself, listening to your body, and taking breaks as needed. The teacher will introduce themselves and give you step by step instructions for the specific class and squence you are doing that day. If you have any questions just ask the front desk or the teacher, don’t be shy we are here to support you. The sequence of class with start of slowly and the intensity will rise to peak and then come down for a cool down period and at least 5 mins of silent rest at the end to integrate the benefits of the practice. You will be guided every step of the way.
